1. This week’s alternate. Phoenix by Xu Bing was amazing.

  2. Alternates from last week.

  3. 25/52

This weekend was the Pride parade in Northampton. It is one of my favorite events of the year, and it was a beautiful day. This band was fantastic, and I love how psyched the tuba player was.

  4. 24/52

I was just looking at the collection of photos from this project and realized that there are a lot more portraits than I expected. I’m kind of happy about that because I’ve never felt very confident about my portraits, so I guess I’m getting some good practice. I love the light in this one.

  6. 23/52

This week was one of my favorite de-stressing activities that Smith offers: Pet a Pet Day! I love this interaction between igotnomorelemons and her new friend. I think the pets were just as happy as the college students.

  7. Alternates from last week. Can’t get enough of this little guy.

  8. 22/52

This is Solomon. He’s 2 weeks old I met him for the first time last week. I’m so glad he stayed awake long enough for me to get some photos of those beautiful blue eyes.

  9. I love taking photos of kids. Adults are self conscious and pose and spend a lot of time thinking about what you’re doing when you bring a camera near them, but that is not something that kids do. These twins were no exception. There is so much honesty and truth in photos of children that is really challenging to get from adults. (Click to make them bigger.)

  10. Last week’s alternate.
